My name is Annie Bohling and I live in Omaha, Nebraska.
I am an emerging poet and writer with a passion for conservation, especially of our diminishing prairie landscapes.
I am in the beginning stages of a creative writing project that will celebrate prairies but also educate readers and inspire their action and support of native prairieland conservation and restoration, as well as home planting of native species. I am a member of the 2022 Art at Cedar Point Artist-in-Residency in Ogallala, Nebraska, where I will devote time to this project.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I previously reported for the Beatrice Daily Sun and KZUM Radio Station in Lincoln, Nebraska and no longer work in journalism.
I enjoy gardening, cooking, singing, making art with wildflowers, bicycling, hiking, kayaking and camping.
